The Heritage Limited Edition:

Japan’s first premium hand-crafted vodka

Where modern vodkas are distilled to neutral spirit, traditional distillers of yore made sure to retain subtle hints of their spirits’ provenance – essentially trademarking with a unique taste. Guided by this traditional insight, our Japanese craft distillers discovered to their delight that preserving faint hints of the satsuma-imo imparted a subtly intriguing taste, the nature of which they still debate.

While our distillers carry on centuries of craft tradition in making shochu, the native Japanese spirit, before Miisha they had never made vodka. But they worked obsessively discover vodka’s kodawari – the essential spirit of the spirit.

This term kodawari is almost holy to true Japanese craftsmen, for only when you master the kodawari can you create the ideal. It’s how the Japanese learned to surpass the Scots at whisky and the English at making the ideal small sports car.

At Miisha, our quest for the kodawari of vodka begins with an exploration of vodka’s historic origins – The Heritage Limited Edition – designed to be enjoyed neat in its purest form. From here the quest continues as we strive to craft the ultimate super-premium cocktail vodka – a distillation to meet the obsessive standards of Tokyo’s passionate mixologists.
